Privacy Policy

Policy Effective June 14, 2021

This website is operated and owned by Rich Products Corporation. We recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of our customers and visitors to our website while permitting us to conduct legitimate business by providing products and services, and information of interest to our customers and visitors.

This Policy applies only to the website and online services provided by Our Specialty, a registered trademark of Rich Products Corporation. This Policy does not cover any interaction you may have with Rich Products Corporation by telephone, postal mail, or other offline communications. The purpose of this Policy is to inform you about the types of information we gather about you when you visit our website, how we may use that information, and how we disclose it to third parties. The information we may collect from you on this website is subject to this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information We Collect

There are two kinds of information web sites can obtain about you:

  1. Anonymous Information: Anonymous Information is used internally for Site administration, troubleshooting and to help improve the quality of this Site and its design. We may share such aggregated, non-personally identifiable information, such as demographics, with existing and prospective business partners and advertisers. We never connect aggregate information with Personally Identifiable Information, and none of the Anonymous Information we share will contain any information that identifies you individually.

IP Addresses. An IP address is unique string of numbers that is assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider. Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our Site, avoid hacking attacks on the Site’s server, and may use it to gather broad demographic information. We do not link IP addresses to any personally identifiable information, even if such information is voluntarily provided by a user.

Cookie Information. As is the case with many web sites, our Site uses a technology called "cookies", which are small data files that are downloaded onto your computer. The use of cookies is standard on the Internet, and allows us to tailor your visits to our Site to your individual preferences. We may also contract with third party service providers who assign cookies to conduct site tracking for us. These companies use cookies solely to provide us with aggregate data about Site traffic. Although most web browsers automatically accept cookies, you can change your browser to prevent cookies or notify you whenever you are sent a cookie. Even without accepting a cookie, you can still access most of the features on our Site.

  2. Personally Identifiable Information: “Personally Identifiable Information” (PII) is any information that personally identifies you, such as your name, email address or your telephone number. Sometimes this personal information is needed when you place an order from Our Specialty, subscribe to our email newsletter, or when you contact us. We may ask you to provide us with personal information on a voluntary basis in certain areas of our Site. In particular, you may be asked to provide the following information:

User IDs and Passwords. To order treats and other goods through the Site, we may request that you create a login name and password. We will use this information to maintain your account and send you the items you have ordered. We may also use this information to send you announcements of new Site features, special offers and promotional material that we think may be of interest to you. You may elect not to receive such information by opting out as described below.

Email Correspondence. Forms are located on the site to contact Rich’s so you can comment, make a complaint, get information on an order, make suggestions and ask questions about our products. Your email address is required on this form so we can answer your questions. Rich’s may put information from email on file, but does not currently share, sell, license or transmit this information with third parties without express authorization from you.

How Personal Information Is Used

The information you share with us may be used in a few ways:

  2. Personally Identifiable Information: Personally Identifiable Information collected by Rich’s may be used for purposes including administration of the Site, order processing, management of promotions or contests, and communications with you. In all cases, however, we will only use your information as permitted by law. We may also disclose PII if we are required to do so by law or we in good faith believe that such action is necessary to (a) comply with the law or with legal process; (b) protect and defend our rights and property; (c) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of the Site; or (d) protect the personal safety or property of our users or the public. Please note that we may not provide you with notice prior to disclosure in such cases.

If you submit a review on the website, we reserve the right to publish the comment to the site, along with your first name and last initial.

Opt Out

Although most users of this Site indicate that they welcome details of offers and other promotional material about Our Specialty, we support the right of our visitors to choose. You will be given the right to opt-out of receiving such information whenever you are asked to provide PII on this Site. If you do not opt-out at that time, but later decide that you do not wish to receive future communications of this nature you can contact us via our Contact Us Form or at the address provided below, indicating that you no longer want to receive information relating to the Our Specialty site.

Access and Correction

You have a right to know about the PII that Rich’s holds about you, including the right to correct, amend or delete the information that Rich’s has on file if it is incorrect. If you wish to exercise these rights please Contact Us or postal mail at the addresses below.

Security

This Site incorporates safeguards to protect the security, integrity and privacy of the personal information we have collected. We have put in place reasonable precautions to protect information from loss, misuse and alteration, including Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and database encryption. All information received from our customers is protected by our security measures, which are periodically reviewed. We employ reasonable and current security measures to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure correct use of PII.

Security of information communicated by or to us over the Internet is of utmost concern to us; however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Please note that your email, like most, if not all, non-encrypted Internet communications, may be accessed and viewed by other Internet users, without your knowledge and permission, while in transit to us. For that reason, to protect your privacy, please do not use email to communicate information to us that you consider confidential. While we strive to protect your personal information, Rich’s cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or through this Site. Once we receive your transmission, we will use reasonable efforts to ensure its security on our internal systems. Depending on the nature of the inquiry, your communication may be discarded or archived. If you wish, you may contact us instead via telephone at the numbers provided throughout our Site.

Surveys, Contests and Online Promotions

From time to time, our website requests information from users via surveys, contests or other promotions. Information requested may include contact information (such as name, email, shipping address), demographic information (such as age range, gender, areas of interest and familiarity with our company or our products and services) and customer feedback. Participation in these requests is completely voluntary. With each request, you will have the choice of whether or not to disclose information. Any and all information you submit to participate in these contests become the property of Rich Products Corporation.

Third-Party Links

Our website may link to third-party websites. When you follow a link to another website, you leave our site and your online interactions are no longer protected by our Privacy Policy. Rich Products Corporation is not responsible for, and does not endorse the content or the privacy or security practices of websites to which our site links. You should review the privacy policies of any such third-party websites for their policies and practices regarding the collection and use of your information because their policies may differ from ours. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for the privacy practices of third parties.

Internet-Based Advertising

Rich’s may work with third parties who use cookies, tags, and other technologies to collect information about your use of the site and other websites and apps on this browser or device and other browsers or devices associated with it to serve online ads likely to be of interest to you on your various devices and browsers, including ads for Our Specialty products. This type of advertising is called interest-based advertising.

To learn more about interest-based advertising or to opt-out of having your web browsing information used for interest based advertising by companies that participate in the Network Advertising (“NAI”) or Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”), visit the websites operated by the NAI [HTTP://WWW.NETWORKADVERTISING.ORG/CHOICES] and the DAA [HTTP://WWW.ABOUTADS.INFO/CHOICES/]. Note, however, that not all service providers participate in the NAI and DAA. In addition, if you opt-out, you may still see online advertising from us and third parties, but the ads may be less relevant to you. If you delete or block cookies, buy or use a different device, access the site from a different device, login under a different name, or change web browsers, you will need to opt-out again. Some web browsers may transmit “do not track” signals. At this time, we do not take steps to respond to such signals.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States’ consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old. The forms we use to collect PII include an interactive control requiring the person completing the form to affirmatively activate the control to indicate they are 18 years old or older. If the “18 and older” control is not activated, the information in the form is not collected. If a child has provided us with PII by fraudulently activating the “18 and older” control, we will remove the child’s PII from our records after receiving and verifying information indicating the person was not 18 years old or older when the PII was collected.
